In a slump, stuck, not sure what’s in the way of your performance?
Injury recovery? A bad experience with a team or coach? All of a sudden you can’t perform like you used to? Other things from your past feeling like they are blocking you from your performance? Thinking about giving up and quitting?
Mental strategies, breathing, and guided imagery can only get you so far. Let’s get to the root of the issue, clear it out and let you go beyond your expectations. Using EMDR to unblock your performance is the next level, and it works.
What is EMDR?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It's been around since the early 90s, and has grown a lot over the years. It’s a type of psychotherapy that helps people heal from emotional distress by targeting disturbing life experiences. By accessing stuck memories or situations while using bilateral stimulation, like eye movements or tapping, it helps push the adaptive process in the brain. The brain can then adapt new information and grow the story. It then can see the situation through a wider view and feel less distress. Many times we experience disturbing things and the brain is able to naturally process the information. It resolves any emotional charge and won’t interfere with our performance. However, when it’s stuck, things can feel hopeless, impossible and blocked. Unblocking is the key to healing and you being able to access your peak performance. We can then use EMDR tools to enhance your performance, solidify a new way of approaching your routine so you have the lasting tools that keep the blocks from coming back.
